From first sketch to final fitting, watch your Emma Beaumont dress come to life. Creating a wedding dress is a very special experience and you will be involved every step of the way.
DESIGN CONSULTATION
The first appointment is a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know you, to find out what you like, to talk about the theme of your wedding and to create that all- important first sketch. We have a wide range of beautiful fabric samples and will go through different shapes and styles of design to see what inspires you. Every single element of the dress, including the fabric, can be personalised. While you are here you are very welcome to take a tour of the studio, meet our wonderful team and see how your dress will be made. Measurements will be taken at this stage and you will be able to take away a copy of your sketch.
VIEW OUR LOOKBOOK
TOILE FITTING
A magical moment where the sketch really comes to life. The toile, which is a cotton replica of the dress, is made from measurements taken at the initial consultation and is completely unique to you. At this stage we will critique the design and make any necessary adjustments. We will also drape fabrics over the silhouette to define the lines of the dress and help you visualise exactly how the finished garment will look.
FIRST FITTING
At the first fitting, you will get to try on your dress. Although still in the very early stages of development, your dress will really be starting to take shape. It is likely to be very plain at this point so that we can ensure a perfect fit before adding any embellishment. It is also a great opportunity for you to have a say in the placement of lace or any embellishment and to create a stunning dress that is unique to you.
SUBSEQUENT FITTINGS
We are now suggesting around 6 appointments for fittings due to the nature of having a handmade dress and the craftsmanship involved. Fittings will be held in the week unless by prior appointment with Emma.
Over the course of several fittings at our Knutsford atelier, our incredible team of specialist fitters, seamstresses, embroiderers and finishers will work their magic, ensuring that the fit is perfect and that the dress is every bit as beautiful as you envisaged. If you would like to be more involved in the overall design process, we will happily spread out the fittings so that you can control development step by step. The final fitting will take place 2-4 weeks before the big day.
